SSTV · Native Android

Picture QSOs
from your pocket.

SSTV-AF paints incoming pictures line by line, sends your own over USB CAT, and logs every contact — all natively on your Android phone or tablet. No laptop. No soundcard tangle. Just your rig and a USB-C cable.

Built for the air

Everything you need to
work pictures — on a phone.

Receive images off the air

Tune to an SSTV frequency and watch the picture paint in line by line, live on a scrolling waterfall — no PC, no soundcard, no patch cables.

Send your own pictures

Pick a photo from your gallery or camera, burn in your callsign, and SSTV-AF encodes it and keys your rig over CAT — one tap to transmit.

Nine modes, auto-detected

Scottie 1/2, Martin 1/2, Robot 36/72 and PD 50/90/120. The VIS header picks the right decoder the moment a transmission starts.

Every image, saved

A built-in gallery keeps every picture you receive and send, stamped with the time, frequency and mode — browse, share, or export them anytime.

USB CAT for 75+ rigs

Drive your radio over a single USB-C cable — CAT, audio, PTT, ALC auto-leveling and SWR protection — across 75+ Icom, Yaesu, Kenwood, Xiegu and more.

Logs everywhere, automatically

The instant you work a station, the QSO uploads to Cloudlog and Wavelog — and the whole book exports to ADIF whenever you like.

Multi-language UI

Sixteen languages — from English and Spanish to Korean, Ukrainian and right-to-left Arabic — with community contributions welcome.

73 from the road

Like the FT8 app it grew out of, SSTV-AF was vibe-coded on I-70 at 70 mph, heading to and from Hamvention — laptop on the passenger seat, radio in the back, Claude in the loop. Some of the best debugging happens at highway speed.
